Since 2011, I have been working with folks across the Portland-Metro area seeking growth and change amidst endings, beginnings, challenges and transitions. I work with adults experiencing changes in their lives that can often be challenging including anxiety, depression, stress, becoming parents, relationship difficulties and grief and loss.
I also have extensive experience working with folks experiencing perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, people who have experienced pregnancy loss, birth trauma, and those considering options with a pregnancy, including termination and adoption.
Folks would describe my therapy style as active, experiential, infused with humor and compassion, and deeply collaborative. My practice is informed by a strong set of social justice values; I believe access to quality mental health care is a foundational component of dismantling institutionalized systems of oppression. I strive to operate from an anti-oppressive, relational-cultural, sex positive, feminist lens.
I have a Master’s of Science in Social Work degree from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree from College of Charleston with a major in Psychology and minor in Women and Gender Studies. I have been licensed to practice through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers since 2013, License #6007
Prior to opening my practice, I worked in an OB/GYN healthcare setting as an integrated behavioral health clinician. I also worked in community mental health with people who have experienced trauma, folks involved in the criminal justice system, and those who experience substance use disorders.
